I still have a small library of books JUST about the history and making of this movie. My favorite, and most honest, is this small out of print production diary that was published and sold for a very brief time when the movie was first released. That shit is VERY telling about the racial attitudes not just on set, but during that time in general. Just uggghhhh I love this movie. There is still so much useless trivia taking up brainspace in my head.
I guess I just like movies about bad people in general. They’ll never disappoint you. You can always count on bad people to be bad people.
also Robert Duvall as Tom Hagen was brilliant fucking casting
also Al Pacino in that uniform at the beginning kinda did it for me when I was younger :p
